It’s take more than years making this bag. Sorry for not upload anything. I’m mostly taking care of my daughter, she will entering to new school in nursery year in this Aug(2023). How many layers should we apply?
One layer is enough, thin but cover all the edge area (3-7 mm. width strip underneath the stitching line, width depends on type of project). Too thick will add glue layer or sometimes may cause spill the edge, will be harder to burnishing the edge/applying edge paint).

When using the teeth removing tool, I would highly suggest using a nylon hammer instead of a metal hammer if you don't want to damage the tool over time.

Such a mission to make , not simple at all. I would just use all leather. Why all this black covering inside. Not that necessary. If I will use real leather then I won't use it.
leather is thick, can hardly get it under 0.4mm without tearing.This is why he needs to use reinforcement, making it necessary for another layer of backing. if you keep stacking leather on top of leather you will end up with a bulky wallet. This is a European style of wallet, they are very thin to give you the option to either store in your pants or your jacket pocket. The mix of materials offers you the option of having a leather made wallet that you can carry with your suit.
